Gabi was in a great mood today. She looked at the calender this morning and it read that today was the first day of spring, which meant outdoor lessons! She was now down at the barn, in her tan riding pants and a sherbet orange colored shirt with her knee high, black leather riding boots. She had tacked up Missouri with her matching orange saddle blanket and black leather saddle and a bit with bridal. She kept her mint green halter and rope on for the time being, so she could walk her and not ride when she needed to. Her class was a mixture of anywhere from beginner to advanced kids, which would be really fun.
She led Missouri into the back and the mare whipped her head up and down temperamental. She grinned at her and kept walking on her left side, patting her shoulder. Missouri stopped and sighed as Gabi led her into the ring. She walked around bored and waiting for her students to come. There was about five coming, which was a good turn out for the first lesson. Hopefully, they all showed up and had a good time and learned things. She slid off Missouri's mint green halter and rope and swung herself up, walking around the ring to warm up.

The alarm clock rang and Natt hit the snooze button. Suddenly she was wide awake. She threw off her covers and hoped out of bed. She put her horse head slippers on and ran across the room to where her calender was. She scanned trough the dates. It was the first day of Spring. Also on that square was written; First day of Jumping lessons. Now she was excited. She was going to be starting her first day of lesson happy and excited. She ran back across the room and over her bed in one leap. She threw open her closet where she kept all of her riding clothes and some pieces of tack. Such as extra halters, bridles, lead ropes, and a trunk that was ful of bits, other small pieces of random tack and some extra grooming supplies and some other nic-nacks. It was a walk in closet so there was plenty of room for everything that was in there. She walked inside and to the far end where she kept her breeches and good competition riding shirts and jackets. He grabbed a tan pair of breeches and on another rack a polo t-shirt and a light wind breaker jacket that was more for spring. She stripped down and put on her riding clothes, before running down stairs and to the barn.
The day outside was nice and cool but still warm enough that she could wear the wind breaker without catching a chill. She jogged to the barn and opened the doors. Inside and down a few stalls was Moonsong. Natt walked past her stall and gave the mare a pat on the nose before preceding to the tack room to get her tack and grooming box. The tack room was neatly organized and she went right to were her tack and things were placed in the room. She pulled out her grooming box and set it on the table where she could easily grab it on her way out. She picked out a nice really white saddle pad. Her expensive Jumping saddle. A bridle with a figure-eight nose band and snaffle bridle. Plus a running martingale. She luged all the tack into one arm so she could get the grooming box on the way out.
Back at the stall Natt put all the tack on a hook that was outside of the stall for the halters and lead ropes. She put the saddle on the clean ground in a nice fashion and grabbed the halter and lead from the hook. She slid back the bolt to Moons stall and walked inside. The mare immediately rubbed her nose against her pocket looking for a treat. “Sorry Moon, but your going to have to wait until your in the cross ties. Natt put on the halter and did it up then clipped on the lead rope. She lead the dappled-grey mare out of her stall and attached her to the ends of the cross ties. She opened her grooming box and picked out a hoof pick. She clucked her tongue and the mare automatically picked up the hoof that she had asked for. When she was done the hooves she pulled the mane and tail them gave her a thorough brushing with all of the brushes. When she was done that the mare was shining. Inside the grooming box was a box of sugar cubes, Natt grabbed the box and fed the mare a Hanoverian a few. She tacked up the horse with the Jumping saddle and figure-eight bridle. She put on the running martingale and united the mare fro the cross ties before she took of the halter that was around her neck so she couldn’t escape. She put them on the hook them started out of the barn and towards the ring.
The outside air was nice as Natt walked her horse towards the arena. Once in the arena she could see only two others warming their horses up. One was a male riding a stallion and the other a girl riding a mare. She mounted up when she was inside and started to warm her horse up. First she rode at a walk around the ring then on the second round was a trot, the third a canter. Natt loved this horses gaits. They were smooth and precise. Her jumping ability was the same. She had some from a rich family in Alberta, Canada, where her parents bred world class Hanoverians. Her horse was out of the best mare and stallion that came from Germany. Both bought for more than a million dollars each. Moon would definitely go for more than a million. This mare was a world class horse with the greatest bloodlines around. Her parents also owned many other jumpers that had made it to the Olympics. Which both of Moonsongs parents were. Both Olympic champions. Moon no doubt would help her to the Olympics and she was going to win.
Now that was left was the riding class. She continued to warm her horse up and watched the other two riders. They were both warming their horses up and it looked like they were both anxious for the lesson to start. Natt hoped that it would start soon, so she could get on with what she had to do the rest of the day.

Jacqui had been awake for an hour before she had to go out and tack up. She was dancing around the dorm room, listening to a video game soundtrack, of all things. Breathing heavily from the latest dance episode, she glanced up at the clock and swore loudly. She had five minutes to change out of her sweats and get down to the barn. Quickly, she pulled on a light blue polo shirt and gray breeches. She almost rushed out of the room in just socks, but remembered just in time and pulled her boots on.
Jacqui ran to the barn and slid to a stop in front of Kerry's stall. "Hey, boy! Lemme get your tack, then we can go have some fun!"
she whispered to him before walking at a more respectable pace to the tack room. Her saddle and bridle were exactly as she left them the day before, ready to go. She grabbed the saddle and balanced it on her arm before taking the bridle off its rack and slipping it over her shoulder. "Crap, hope he's clean, don't have much time..." she muttered to herself. Just in case, Jacqui grabbed a brush and set off toward Kerry.
She groomed and tacked him without a halter; it was easy enough to keep him still with just a flake of hay. The difficult part was tearing him away from the food when it was time to go. "C'mon, idiot, time to work for once," she said before pulling on the reins and leading the gelding to the outdoor arena.
There were three people there already. Gabi, who she assumed was teaching, on a mare; a boy she had seen around, but didn't know on a big dapple gray stallion; and a girl on a mare. Jacqui opened the gate and led Kerry in quickly. She was surprised at his attitude; he wasn't hyper at all, which was strange. It wasn't normal for the big Holsteiner to come out of his stall into an arena with other horses totally calm. Jacqui closed the gate and led him to the center of the arena, then swung up into the saddle. Kerry seemed to know this was important, and yielded to bit pressure almost instantly.
Jacqui scouted the arena again, checking the others' horses. They were all nice, very nice, but Jacqui was determined to prove Kerry was equal to, or better, than every single one of them. He had excellent bloodlines, even though he was kind of a strange cross. Dressage dam and jumper sire does not a hunter make. With a tap of her leg, Jacqui sent Kerry into a nice, big trot to warm him up. There's supposed to be one or two more people, right? When are they coming? she asked herself.[/blockquote] [/blockquote]
Hoofs pounded across the dirt by Gabi and Missouri. Missouri spooked once, while Gabi was off of her and she patted his nose, making sure she was okay then walked over to the middle of the arena where the jumps were stacked up. She smiled and checked her phone with one hand before speaking. "Everyone, please gather round!" She spoke with a clear English accent and knew people could hear the smile in her voice. Once all were gathered around she picked up a clear orange clipboard and matching pen in her arms, dropping Missouri's lead and stepping on it. She knew it wasn't the smartest thing to do but she knew Missouri well enough to know he would stay. Gabi smiled and began speaking again. "I must now take roll quickly, so please say here or something of that nature when I call your name." She grinned and read off of her clipboard.
"Jacqueline Schmidt?" She cooed. Once a pretty girl with curly blond hair on a dapple gray horse raised her hand she moved on. "Riley Marie Swan?" She smiled. No one raised their hand, so she marked a check next to her name and moved on. "Larissa Cardwell." It wasn't a question, just saying a name. Once again, no answer. "Sky Lark Terrace?" She cooed once again. A handsome boy spoke and Gabi's face got hot. She quickly looked down to hide her flush. "And... Nattalia Greene?" Once the last girl spoke, Gabi put down her clipboard, pen, and hopped up on Missouri. "Once the other students get here, if they do, we will begin jumping but for now I want to work on some paces. Everyone line up in according to your horse, and your, speed." Gabi nudged Missouri into a circle while waiting for the students.

Riley could here the low loud beeping of an alarm. But then it began to get louder and louder. She jumped out of bed and slammed the snooze button. Riley was going to be late! She quickley got dressed, throwing tan riding pants on, a lime green polo shirt, and knee high blakc boots. She threw her hair up into a messy ponytail and sprinted to the barn. Making it there, Riley began to quickley groom Alice. Tacking her up in the knick of time. Once the mare was all ready to go, Rily put her helmet on and jogged out to the arena, Alice trotting behind her. Once Riley and Alice were in the arena fence, she checked the mare's girth and mounted up, going to the center with the rest of her lesson buddies.
Seeing as the trainer was taking attendence, Rily nodded toward her with an embarassed smile on her face. "Riley Marie Swan here." Riley gently bit her bottom lip as she prepared herself for a short lecture about how you should never be late for lessons. Alice looked down the line at the rest of the horses, ears perked.

element gave a ear piercing scream and suddenly rolled back on his haunches, rearing and outstretching his hooves and slicing through the air. sky stood up in the saddle, the stallion's back nearly completely vertical. oh dear god no. sky desprately grabbed on to element's thick mane, thanking himself that he didn't cut it like he was going to last week. element gave another scream and stood there in midair for a moment. then the stud simple dropped onto his forelegs, hitting the ground and then bolting. sky instantly went into dictator mode and yanked back on the reins, too surprised to shout whoa. sky put his weight far back as the stud ran forward at a flat out gallop, tearing across the arena and then turning widely to run in the other direction.
oh no. sky lost a stirrup, clinging on to the saddle with one foot while pulling back on the bit hard. element screeched again and preformed a sliding stop in the center of the arena, nearly ramming in to gabrielle's horse. sky held on for dear life as the stallion slid like a reining horse and then stopped. the stallion looked very pleased with himself, his nose brushing gabrielle's horse's side because they had stopped that close. sky gathered the reins, sitting up straight in the saddle while searching with his foot for the other stirrup. his chest heaved in effort from pulling a thousand pound animal back. his dark eyes interlocked with gabrielle's. "Uhm, sorry." sky mutterd while glancing downward, his lower lip almost in a cute pout as he straightened out his helment. he felt like such an idiot. Nattalia walked the mare over to the middle of the arena where names were being taken. She spoke ‘Present’ when her name was called. Jacqueline was a pretty girl on a beautiful dappled-grey horse. Now Sky was a different story. He was very cute and the horse that he was riding was beautiful. So there was only five students and a teacher here today. This lesson would be god then. Natt preferred it to be private lessons. But a group lesson was just as good. The instructor told everyone to work on their paces. Natt lined up at the back and waited until the line started to move. They started into a nice canter. Natt and Moon kept up easily. The mare used little power at all when she was cantering. It was so...effortless. They continued around in a circle until they came to were told to walk. One of the boys who’s name was Sky, was looking like he was having some problems. The big stallion reared straight up into the air. Natt put pressure on the reins to stop Moonsong. Sky was trying to stay on the horse. He grabbed onto the mane but then lost a stirrup. Natt took in a deep breath and held it. She knew what he was thinking. Why now? Natt finally let out her breath after the whole ordeal was over. It was pretty much expected when a stallion had come that close to a mare. And Moonsong was a mare. Natt didn’t want anything to happen to her horse or any other horses. She let the reins slack a little bit and waited for the next set of instructions.
Jacqui smiled at the other students, then got into line as asked. She took her place near the end of the line; Kerry was fast, but not the fastest. Suddenly, the thunder of hooves alerted her to Sky's predicament. Her head whipped around as she instinctively pulled Kerry to a halt. The bay gelding complied, although he did begin pawing. Jacqui winced as the big stallion reared and took off. She kept Kerry as quiet as she could through the episode.
Once it was over, Jacqui looked around for the trigger. She wanted to know, so she could avoid the same situation with Kerry. He didn't spook at much, but if it set another horse off like that, it may very well scare the gelding. Her eyes fell upon a mare. Seriously? Wow, he needs some training... she thought, carefully keeping her expression of contempt off her face.
Jacqui let Kerry walk, but kept him collected and ready to go. She glanced at the newcomer, a girl on a palomino mare. It was a pretty horse, although not exactly Jacqui's taste. She preferred an old-school black or bay, part of the reason she loved Kerry so much. She turned her head to Gabrielle, waiting for more instructions.

Seeing as the trainer got Riley's name down for here, she went to the line to line up. Alice wasn't really that fast, but she did have her moments such as when she had too much grain or if she didn't go outside on a rainy day. So out of ten Alice is a 3. Riley moved to the front of the line and began to walk in a circle. Making sure that she had enough distance between the rider infront of her. Riley sat deep in the saddle, postitioning her self just right in the saddle. Alice put her head in the correct head set and let her ears flop carelessly at the side. Her golden coat gleaming in the sun. Riley kept moving her blue eyes to glance over at the trainer. Making sure that she didn't miss any instruction that she didn't need too. The mare underneath her moved with her steady gait and swished her tail ever now and then at some evil flies who decided to land on her rump. Her eyes kept looking straight ahead but Riley's mind did some wandering too. But her ears still were keen on the trainer in the center of the arena. Her body began to relax more and more. Not having a stiff shape to it, more of a soft stance. And the occasional thudding of the horses hooves around them were music to her ears. Something that could put Riley to sleep.

Larissa lined Fallon up to the flightier horses. He was possibly the most experienced and she leaned down to pat him, smiling brightly to herself. Lessons weren't her thing, but she needed them...Fallon too. The Morgan thrust his head out and yanked his head down, prancing in his place. The conditioned horse was used to get going as soon as he was in a ring, and she'd alreayd warmed him up.He was snorting and tossed his head a lot, like she expected him too. She loosened her grip on her reins, looking small on him. He obediently stretched his head down, scratching his leg as he stopped fidgeting. "Ello.". She responded when she heard her name, just for the heck of it. There was no one to stop her, anyway. She stood in her stirrups as Fallon so elegantly urinated, then stood still. She could visualize him starting to pace then suddenly get down to roll, and dirty up, and dirty her new addle. He must've seen it too, because he started to sink slowly, when she jabbed at the reins. "No!" She said harshly, not loud enough for others to hear her. He scrambled upp, snorting an apology.
